Flashing envelope advert appearing again

Sorry I can't find the original thread but the misleading flashing envelope adverts appearing again for me today.

Sigh... I'm missing the flashing red envelope though because it flashed while a screen captured.

Just got it popping up on active convos.

I'm on an iPhone using Chrome
There's a tiny X in the corner and if you click it, you can say don't show this ad
Seems to be Google advertising
No idea how to switch it off completely

Back on today that little red envelope flashing away.

Active conversations, iphone, mobile site.

Do you want us to keep updating this thread please mnhq? Or are you busy enough sorting the issue to check all threads like this?

It is actually quite hard! They come in from multiple sources, and as soon as we block 20 of them another 20 seem to pop up. We will flag it to our ads team again.

You have to go into your browser settings
If you can get to click on an ad with a x in the corner you can get to a page of ad settings you can change

Our ads team have raised this as an issue with Google Ads now because we (obviously) aren't having a lot of luck with stopping them at our end. Hopefully we'll be able to get a comprehensive solution soon

There's another flashing one now too. I've just had this one and the fake Facebook as one after the other. The red circle over the 'heart' is flashing in this one.
They're very annoying
