Following on from yesterday's, er, 'lively' chat with Piers Morgan, we're interested to find out who you would like to have as guests on Mumsnet - so post your suggestions here.

Jo Frost. i would actually really like to discuss her methids and the research she put into adopting them. i am a little negative of her sometimes but would like to give her the chance to win me over.

Oh and Brad Pitt or Robbie

ScummyMummy · 11/10/2006 10:35

Off top of head:
Tanya Byron
Al Aynsley Green
Philip Pullman
Kirsty Wark

I think live events should be quite focussed on parenting/children/people who combine interesting lives with bringing up kids, ideally. Piers Thingy was a wierd choice imo as he isn't really known for any of those things apart from the last, arguably, which he didn't really talk about much. So his chat was mostly about him responding to insults insultingly which was mildly amusing in patches but mostly an unedifying bore imo.

saltire · 11/10/2006 10:36

J K Rowling - she would be great, she's a mum, and if memory serves, patron of an organisation for single parents.
Gordon Brown
Fern Britten

Marina · 11/10/2006 10:37

Scummy, I couldn't agree more. Seeing Piers Morgan self-promote not really my bag either.

Marina · 11/10/2006 10:38

Philip Pullman would be wonderful! or any of the people who have been Children's Laureate in recent years - Michael Morpurgo, Anne Fine
Or perhaps we could have someone from the NSPCC or UNICEF (not Robbie, the eejit)

ScummyMummy · 11/10/2006 10:40

Education minister is Alan Johnson, I think, Bat. I wouldn't be surprised if he agreed to do it, actually. He's one of those media schmoozer types I think. Always popping up in magazines and on Ian Wright/Jamie Oliver type programmes.

Marina · 11/10/2006 10:41

He's not bad for a Government Minister though scummy - it could have been shudder Charles Clarke

nailpolish · 11/10/2006 10:41

i want to see Tom Cruise on MN

can you IMAGINE????????????????

ROFL

ScummyMummy · 11/10/2006 10:43

Yes- could we get some of the worriers about childhood being awful these days on to tell us where we're going wrong? Think lovely M Morpurgo was one of them wasn't he?

oliveoil · 11/10/2006 10:43

Davina McCall - or would she reply IN CAPITALS AND SHOUT?

Erm, hmmmm >

Anthea - I love Anthea and want her hair

Caitlin Moran - she makes me rofl
