That CV on the front page is obscenely condescending; what on earth are you thinking?

Hmmmm I'm not sure what to make of it. I think it's an attempt to promote a cv writing skills course for women who have maybe been out of the workplace for a long time (excellent idea incidentally) by trying to be funny. I'm not particularly amused but I'm not offended either.

I saw it on FB and assumed it was an irritating spoof of saccharine memes that MN hates so much.

It's the 'husband is useless' bit that gets me. Way to propagate the 'only mum can do it RIGHT' thing that makes martyrs of so many women.

I just took it as tongue in cheek. Anyone thinking it's serious has a sense of humour failure.

No-one here is thinking it's serious, just that as 'jokes' go it's at best weak and at worst helping to perpetuate stereotypes that actively work against women going back to work after a career break raising children.
