Has MN given me a virus? Links popping up all over the place - started on MN now all over the place - help

Hello,

Yesterday I noticed some words in MN posts that turned into links when you hovered over them.

Today, this has spread to other websites - for eg even on the BBC website some words are now links to other companies or ads.

Has MN given me a virus? I haven't knowingly downloaded anything. I have a MAc if that makes any difference.

Not MN but some game the DCs had been on.

In case anyone else has the same problem, in Chrome, choose extensions and you can see Adware that has been installed there. This one was called Arcade Yum.
