The screen just shows a loading thing and that's all it does. I've left it doing that for up to half an hour and still nothing! What's going on!?!

Are you on an iphone?

TheCunnyFunt · 28/08/2014 09:05

Yes, iphone 5c, the latest ios7 using Safari.

Try Chrome, I couldn't post at all from the mobile site using safari. Chrome works most, but not all of the time.

TheCunnyFunt · 28/08/2014 15:36

It's (mostly) working now but I'll keep my eye on it.

I couldn't post on the desktop site using Safari either. Hopefully it's now fixed...

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/08/2014 16:32

Yay!

KateSMumsnet · 28/08/2014 16:51

How very annoying - especially since what you were trying to post was an excellent wasp pun.

Is it that it's not letting you post on thread, but you can start new ones? Have you had this problem on any other threads?

TheCunnyFunt · 28/08/2014 21:00

Yes Kate, it's been happening for the past couple of days on any thread I try and post on Confused clearly I appear to be able to start and post on my own threads, just not others!

Hoping this works, I tried earlier and it wouldn't work! Aaargh!

Kate, I've just posted a fucked off rant up there ^ about this. It's a bloody shambles.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 29/08/2014 18:57

I don't use chrome on my mobile and I don't plan to start. I'm going to switch to mobile on my iPad to test...

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 29/08/2014 19:00

Test

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 29/08/2014 19:01

Works fine on safari on my ipad2, ios7

TheCunnyFunt · 30/08/2014 19:16

Been trying to post this message all day today AND yesterday!

I get the progress circle endlessly on my android phone. The post does post but I have to use bookmarks on my phone to get to tio and back to the thread.

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 30/08/2014 19:27

There's a solution to this, the URL has to be www.mumsnet not m.mumsnet. Try that?

IonaMumsnet · 30/08/2014 19:43

Hi OP,

Really sorry about this. How annoying for you. We've reported this to Tech and will get back to you as soon as we have an answer for you.

HauntedNoddyCar · 31/08/2014 13:21

Ehric I've been using the www all along so it doesn't fix it for me.

cakesonatrain · 01/09/2014 19:46

Similar.
Android phone, default browser. I can post, but when I click the post button I too get the endless grey screen and progress circle. My post is always there when I refresh though.

I have had this problem consistently since the new mobile site was unleashed launched.

DawnMumsnet · 01/09/2014 20:44

Hi there,

We're really sorry that some of you are still having trouble posting.

We'll flag the issue to our Tech folk again and see what they suggest. Please watch this space.

JessicaMumsnet · 01/09/2014 21:27

Hello HauntedNoddyCar and cakesonatrain, we're working on optimising the speed of the site generally but you definitely shouldn't be experiencing that kind of spinning even now, so it sounds like something amiss.

If you've checked that you're on www.mumsnet.com/Talk not m.mumsnet.com/Talk then would you mind letting us know exactly what phone and browser you're using so we can investigate more?

Many thanks Thanks

cakesonatrain · 01/09/2014 22:36

HTC Desire HD, Android 2.3.5, WebKit 533.1

cakesonatrain · 01/09/2014 22:41

It doesn't seem like a speed issue. The site has got a lot quicker since the early days of the new site, when it took forever to load up the whole of a page (although it does still take a while for a long thread - scroll a bit, wait, scroll a bit more, wait etc but that feels like a separate problem).
The posting thing is like it's never going to refresh with my new post, not just slowly.
