iPhone mn app - WTF?

WTF has happened to the iPhone app?

I've managed to get rid of the shortcuts bar at the bottom which cut off so much of the screen that it made me feel like I was trying to read a billboard through a porthole.

I can't, however, find how to turn back on the setting that coloured the OP's ongoing posts a specific colour.

Anyone managed to do this?

I just want to make it work like it use to!

If you click on the three little dots at the bottom right of each post, a menu pops up with the option to report, PM, go to the top, etc

There's no option to switch between user names either.
My ad is not only enormous but it keeps moving - very distracting. Think I might read a book tonight!

In all previous versions you could choose different colours for OP & your own, BeyoncesCat (dunno about this horrible new one)

Via the Customise button I think?

So every time the OP posts in a thread it's always a different colour so we know it's the OP? Have I got that right? If so it's never done that for me

Yes - find a page (ie desktop) with a Customise button at the top

Click on that & it includes an option to highlight OP's posts & your own in various different colours

(Nothing to do with mobile site changes - it's always been an option)

Maybe MNHQ have all been kidnapped by a rival parental social networking site who have made these changes in a cunning and vicious act of agression?

And thus if we pay the ransom, it will go back to normal and we shall all post happily ever after.

Have clicked on the desktop site. Posts on the left side of the page, adverts down the right. Can hardly read any of the text. No top button, etc. MN please can you stop dicking about with stuff that is user friendly (ish) and making it bloody un-useable!?

My highlight op's posts doesn't seem to work - it's only making the first post a vaguely different colour.
And bookmarking just sends me to the top of the page?

We've just been busy answering questions about the new mobile site that was launched this evening. Actually, deferring answering questions would be more accurate ...

Can we please just check that the issues you're raising on this thread are all to do with the iPhone app? And not the new mobile site? We don't want to go bothering our Tech folk (who are up to their eyes in it) until we're sure it's just the iPhone app that's giving you trouble.

Yup for me it's the mobile site. Apologies for the confusion I'm heavily dosed up, pre mestrual and sleep deprived. Will pop over to add comments. And try not to confuse further.
