Hi all,

We have recently had a mail forwarded to us here at MNHQ that was sent out from The Smile Mom team in London.

The mail was unsolicited to this MNetter and we wondered if anyone else had received it?

This specific mail was sent on the 15th of April and entitled 'Your Mumsnet password was hacked. Time to move on.'

We would be very interested to hear from anyone else who may have received a similar mail.

Me neither. I only check my spam folder sporadically but anything that seems in any way like a 'phishing' email I always forward after several in a row supposedly from banks/companies house

Agree with Zombie if it was a marketing campaign it really wasn't cricket do so. The MN hack & heartbleed thing got mentioned in a digital marketing campaign workshop I was at recently

OYBK - I think the point is the other site is telling people they have been hacked due to being on MN so it is time to move on - to them.

I didn't get the email either. Thank goodness.

I think I may have got it as this is around the time all my contacts got a dodgy email from me! I reported it to hotmail & my account has been suspended since so I'm afraid I can't forward it on. Bastards I'm usually so careful about clicking on links but it looked genuine Hmm

no, but i've had loads of marketing calls on my mobile since the hack, not sure if it's co-incidence though as also have had lots of junk mail since entering a competition.
