Zombie threads- can the warning be placed at the top of the page too? And on the list of threads?

I use the mobile site and have clicked in a few zombie threads today which were in active conversations or near the top of the list in a topic area. Can a zombie warning be put at the top of the page when reading the thread (as well as at the end) and maybe also on the thread list (e.g. active conversations, property, gardening etc.)

Thanks for your suggestion - we agree, it's a good idea.

We'll have a word with our Tech folk and see just how feasible it might be.

And carried on for more than a few posts - maybe 20 or more, so that bumping by one person doesn't mean that we idiots others get drawn in.

Anyone new should be told "the op of this thread posted in 2008"

Maybe something quick and visual like
"if the thread was started more than x months ago, show the date in red"
could help, if moving or replicating the red "zombie warning" text to the top would take longer.

There seems to be spates of old threads being resurrected by people recommending private companies. This happened recently in Property where lots of really old threads about extensions were all reanimated, recommending a company who build extensions....

We will have a think about this one. It makes sense but we are trying to cut down on text at the top of threads on the mobile as space is much more limited.

Mobile is currently being redesigned so we will factor this in, maybe come up with a small icon or 'Z' to indicate that this is a zombie thread.

It's not something that will be happening imminently but we will add it to our redesign plans.
