idea for a fighting fund for mn ...

There has been a lot of talk of a fighting fund for mn, but I know that this is difficult as I think that there are potentially some who might not wish to simply donate money, but how about if we went about it a slightly different way..

Most of us have some stuff at home we'd like to get rid of right? Those toys the kids have grown out of; that box of books up in the garage; the kitchen gagets that were bought and now sit gathering dust on top of the cupboard; that lovely ornament great aunt morag brought back from her holiday. So how about we have an mn fighting fund auction as it were. We could set up an ebay account, or alternatively I'm happy to donate the use of my account as I've never used it anyway, and then we could put the items we want to get rid of on ebay and the proceeds could be donated to the mn fighting fund. That way we could get ridd of some unwanted junk that we know we'll never get round to taking to the carboot sale, and help the cause of mn as well. If people are actually selling things, then it feels a bit more proactive than simply paying money into an account imo.

Any thoughts?

Actually CK1 - I don't think that is a bad idea at all - but we would have to go for a netrual cause to maximise sales - Free Speech on the Internaet or something along those lines.

Maybe it could be done by everyone chipping into a paypal account for so many which they agree to sell, the proceeds going back into the paypal account after? Someone would have to volunter to recieve them and distribute them to the relevant Mners.

Many of you have very kindly posted on here and written to us directly that you would be willing to contribute to a legal fund for costs relating to our current legal dispute with Gina Ford.
So we've set up a legal fund here . Please be assured that any monies raised will go entirely towards our legal costs, and were it by any chance the case that we raised more than our costs we would pass any excess to an appropriate charity in consultation with you of course.
Many thanks,
