"Add a Message

It is with great regret that we have to ask members to refrain from any further discussion of Gina Ford, her methods or her books on the site. To find out why click here. We'd be very grateful if members could report any mentions of Gina Ford using the "contact Mumsnet" facility (the little red exclamation mark to the right of each posting). Many thanks. MNHQ. "

Never seen it before.

HuwEdwards · 07/08/2006 13:13

If I sign the petition as HuwEdwards, could that be construed as libel....?

Gobbledigook · 07/08/2006 13:13

I would vie for the affections of richard hammond but I'm 6ft in heels so think I just have to leave you girls to it.

anthonykiedisbitontheside · 07/08/2006 13:16

Hmm I hope Anthony kiedis doesn't sue me.

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 13:17

it's ok, im over 6' in heels too but still, his midgety lovliness overrides that im afraid.

But get your point about how stupid it can get if people allow it to.

personally I think it could make it into the papers. I've already emailed the bbc, all progs on five live, breakfast, drive, phone-in. I would say that certain people must not have very bright pr people - any idiot must realize that this kind of action is going to cause a huge wave of negative publicity.

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 13:18

Just think how many mums use just here and bounty. You've already got most of us talking about it on bounty and we're all members of several sites too, butterfly effect n all.

Mascaraohara · 07/08/2006 13:19

right, I'm going to the gym hope the thread is still here when I get back.

Gobbledigook · 07/08/2006 13:23

I was called 'getkamalout' last year when BB was on - I slated him something rotten on those thread! (although I backtracked as I grew to like him - perhaps that's why he didn't try to sue my arse off?)

anthonykiedisbitontheside · 07/08/2006 13:23

I've emailed the Wright Stuff.

MrsRichardHammond · 07/08/2006 13:24

The Wright Stuff isnt back on til september.

wannaBe1974 · 07/08/2006 13:25

just been reading the bounty thread and haven't seen any positive posts on there

anthonykiedisbitontheside · 07/08/2006 13:25

Oh bugger

Rhubarb · 07/08/2006 13:26

I would be careful though, certain unsavoury things could appear on the www under freedom of speech, it can have its downsides too.

Earlybird · 07/08/2006 13:26

I've got a mental picture of her lawyers glued to computers reading all of our comments, listening to LBC, and then seeing the discussion spread to other parenting sites. Wonder if they feel satisfied at what they've done to protect their client, or horrified at the public/media reaction which so far doesn't seem positive. My guess is that they/she see this as a "landmark" or precedent setting case.
