I was thinking the other day that starting an 'I'm leaving thread' is along the same lines as faking your death and organising a funeral to see how many people are going to miss you.

I'm not denying that the folks involved in the latest I'm leaving threads are genuinely upset but I really don't see why if you are pissed off with Mumsnet you don't just stay away for a while.
