Maybe a link to software that can block you off mumsnet for a period of time when you have a deadline.

southeastastra · 03/08/2006 11:30

carmenere!

maybe a frequent q & a section would be good

Quootiepie · 03/08/2006 11:42

real time chat... like a chat room? or a few... like AOLs pub quiz...

Quootiepie · 03/08/2006 11:43

zippitippitoes · 04/08/2006 08:49

I would also like something anything to happen when you click on the blue underlined link which is the poster's name on each of their posts..can't we be allowed to have a little editable sound bite there or a little piccy

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 04/08/2006 09:24

Oh yes zippi! I always want to click the name to send a CAT!

intergalacticwalrus · 04/08/2006 13:52

Hope they don;t let people use tickers.

southeastastra · 04/08/2006 14:03

intergalacticwalrus what's a ticker?

expatinscotland · 04/08/2006 14:08

yuk, tickers.

if they put in any of that 'number of posts', 'time logged in' or 'profile' biz you won't see me round much.

a good thing, i'm sure.

intergalacticwalrus · 04/08/2006 14:11

Tickers ar little timeline things that say stuff like "1 hour, 45 mins and 7 seconds since little Johnny did a shit" or "only 5 years, 7 months, 4 days, 5 hours, 57 mins and 5 seconds until my next holiday"

Actually, I would get a ticker, counting down the minutes until DS is old enough to leave home

southeastastra · 04/08/2006 14:12

ta!

suejonez · 04/08/2006 14:15

can we have button that says "don't let me post on this thread", once clicked you have to wait 24 hous if you try to unclick. Would stop me posting on threads I didn't even want to READ never mind engage with.

MacSporran · 04/08/2006 14:16

I love mumsnet and hate all those other sites with tickers, locked threads, don't post here etc etc. Some of them are just too akward to navigate too. Mumsnet is nice and simple - please keep it that way.

MacSporran · 04/08/2006 14:18

From Spagblog:-

Although 1hr 3mins and 20secs until I change my mooncup would look great on a ticker

Definately quote of the week methinks!

Kaloo20 · 04/08/2006 14:32

please please please no sig files or tickers

southeastastra · 04/08/2006 14:38

i hate those sigs on the ebay boards, mn is great the way it is

expatinscotland · 04/08/2006 14:53

oh, yes, sigs w/all those drivel quotations - 'love is a rainbow of many colours' 'smiles and fairydust make the world go round' blahblahblah VOMIT!

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2006 07:53

Oh me too zippi, will read thread now.

WideWebWitch · 05/08/2006 07:55

Oh thank god, have now read thread and there won't be tickers or avatars. tf for that.

MrsBadcrumble · 05/08/2006 08:55
