Write a book review and win 3D figurines of your family

Mumsnetters don't just impart sound advice on the talk boards - they do it in our reviews section, too. So, we're running a new Review of the Month competition to highlight the best reviews on there.

For January's competition, we've teamed up with Levavo to give one lucky Mumsnetter and her family the exciting opportunity to win a 3D colour scaled model set of themselves. Photographs are taken in their studio, which a high-tech printer then turns into minuature versions of you that will be ready a few days later. Pretty cool huh?

All you have to do to enter is post a review of a book then tell us your name and address here. It can be a review of a book we already have listed, or something new. We'll choose the one we think is most useful, and hey presto, we have a winner. What are you waiting for?

Best of luck,
MNHQ

what, nothing from HQ on this hilarious (if harmless) backfire?

RachelCMumsnet · 23/01/2014 12:14

As is evident from the mix of responses here, this idea does divide opinions. In the two previous competitions, we offered a Sue Ryder kitchen set and a year's subscription to a recipe service as prizes - we fancied doing something a bit different, that would get people talking, which this certainly has Wink

We realise it's not to everyone's taste, but wish the best of luck to those who have entered - some cracking reviews posted so far.

To those who are less enamoured with the idea, we'll leave you with this...

I take you don't watch the big bang theory.

MmeLindor · 23/01/2014 22:53

Jesus. Rachel. That's just cruel.

There isn't enough mind bleach.

Nothing for it. I'll have to share it with all my friends so that they can also have nightmares

I read a book years ago where there was a family living in a big old house, and they had a little dolls house that was the same as their house, with little wooden versions of all the family members in it. One day the little figures started to come to life, and as they got livelier, the real people became more and more wooden. Then one of the real people was murdered, and the wooden grandad doll had blood on its hands...

Just to cheer you all up and fire your enthusiasm... Grin

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/01/2014 18:56

Oh my God, so if I win they will come to life and kill us? That is not a very good prize at all!

I would still risk it though. Grin

3D figurines of foetuses? I also need brain bleach!

There's a reason why women don't have transparent abdomens...

LemonMousse · 28/01/2014 21:42

I can't even stand looking at photos of myself - I always look deranged or drunk (or both). A 3D model would be quite terrifying!

Shame really, as my book review would undoubtedly have won hands down Wink

CormoranStrike · 28/01/2014 22:36

Oh, I didn't realise my review had to be good, I just thout I had to be in it to win it. Sad

Nerfmother · 01/02/2014 14:36

Have I won yet? I've had a new haircut and everything. Wink

Nerfmother · 21/02/2014 12:51

Bump!
