dementia - a special need not "other stuff"

There is a whole section on SN and caring for children with SN, yet caring for parents with dementia is under the charmingly named "other stuff". It is not "other stuff" to those of us caring for a parent with this special need, often as well as looking after our dcs.
Does SN only apply to dcs as far as MN is concerned?

Hi there dementedma, thanks for raising this with us. We do see where you're coming from - if you (or anyone else who wants to contribute) can think of a better place to put the Elderly Parents topic please do shout. At the moment Other Stuff seems to be the best fit, but we're happy to review this.

Hello again

Yes, we're happy to move Elderly Parents to the Health topic if that makes sense to everyone.

We also have the Carers topic, also currently under Other Stuff - is this the topic you mean by 'caring for parents with dementia', dementedma? If so, one of the reasons it is in an (admittedly) catch-all topic area is that it isn't specifically to do with any health need or disability - it's more a general topic to do with those who have caring responsibility for others, for whatever reason. But again, we're very happy to move it to Health if that's a more intuitive place to find it.

Apologies if you're talking about a whole other topic and we've got the wrong end of the stick.
