Can you automatically pull threads that get reported a certain number of times?

This isn't my idea, I've heard it suggested before, but it seems a good one to me.

If x number of people report a thread, it automatically disappears until it is reviewed by mnhq.

I think this is much needed at the moment.

I'm sure there are probably cons to this idea, I'd be interested to hear what others think and any other suggestions?

I've reported an awful lot more than I've posted on ..... and some have alarmed me because of who they are posted by.

magimedi · 11/01/2014 22:41

I've reported lots without commenting - and I am saddened how long it takes for some of the very obnoxious threads to be pulled.

MNHQ need to employ more staff at night & weekends or have an automatic thread pull/lock.

And (amusing though they may be) maybe stop the witty deletion messages. Lots of people seem to post on threads just to be able to see the message.

Amrapaali · 11/01/2014 22:48

Oh god, yes magi. The deletion message has become a "thing" now.

BigOrange · 11/01/2014 22:51

Agree witgBOF and magi. There are threads started about deletion messages?! Either asking what they were or praising them? That makes me sad.

BigOrange · 11/01/2014 22:52

Or, you know, with. Whatever Blush

magimedi · 11/01/2014 22:54

Threads started about deletion messages should be zapped. POW!!

They are 'freds about freds', ater all.

MinesAPintOfTea · 12/01/2014 06:56

You don't even need to be in a thread to see the deletion message. Just keep it open in a tab/bookmark it and check it the next day.

HeinzDoofenshmirtz · 13/01/2014 18:49

Agree, agree, agree.

Perhaps you could make the deletion message available with 'watching' ?

So many times I have wanted to SHOUT at the posters who ' . ' on threads also recently too - so inappropriate.

Fucking rubberneckers.
