Mobile site - hard to click thread title -page jumping

I'm using the mobile site on an S4 and when I try to select a thread title from active convo when I touch the screen the page jumps down slightly and I end up selecting the wrong thread. Been doing this for days and it is driving me crazy.

Can you take a look please MN.

What's the mn policy on adverts? I've given up using it on my laptop as there are so many, and they are getting much more obtrusive, and now i'm getting them on my nexus.

I think i know what's happening. The ad at the top doesn't load right away ,and when it does it generates a page refresh.
The only way round it at present is to wait till all that has happened before selecting a thread. It's really annoying though!!!

My phone does this all the time. Every page that loads flicks to the top at least three times and I'm forever clicking on the wrong button.

I've lost count of the threads I've wanted to read but hidden by accident fat fingers don't help

We are looking at this - it does sound ruddy annoying and we can see why you've flagged it. It's not likely we'll take the ads away I'm afraid but we'll see if we can do something about the order in which they load, or the speed with which they load.

We'll come back when we've got something more definitive to say!

It's been doing it for ages for me. Glad to see it's not my phone!

S4, Android 4.3, samsung browser.

Tech think the answer might be to make sure that the space for the banner ad loads first, so that the page won't jump when the ad loads. It's on our to-do list now.

Well... thanks to the super-speedy ShamTech, we think this is done now. Hopefully it will stop the jumping problem

Was still a problem for me earlier as well. I scroll down the page, only to find myself back at the top again. Really irritating.

What's happening now is that the ad banner doesn't load at all but, but as soon as you touch the screen to scroll it page refreshes with the ad and the whole thing jumps.
