Over the last couple of days I've been seeing a couple of odd things on a few pages - a faint grey square box outline near the MN logo, and another faint grey rectangular outline at the top of the page. As these are exactly the same size and shape as the MN logo and the banner ad at the top of the page I assume they are something to do with them, although they are not directly over them - they are sort of positioned to the upper right of them.
On the same pages where I've seen this happening, none of the links in Discussions of the Day or Most Active work. Spooky eh?
I can't yet identify anything the pages I've seen this on have in common, but if I work it out I will let you know. Don't think it is anything to do with the infamous abolition of All On One Page, as I was seeing it before that happened.
I am using Firefox with XP.
