Can we lose the Organix background please?

Its awful, fucks up the screen at the bottom and is too hard on the eyes. I get migraines at the best of times but I can see this making them worse.

I have always like the simple lay out of MN, user friendly, but with lots of info.

This is just awful! I dont know how much they have paid but it isnt enough!

Another poster in the "oh no, what have you done" camp.

Apart from making me resolve never to buy Organix (my default response to ads that annoy me) I really don't see the need for the ad to be visible in each and every view. OK, if you want it when the menu of threads is up, I can just about accept/live with that as MN will want the revenue. But when opening the individual threads? Really?

I think this might be an own goal for MN even though I am sure they are just hoping we'll get used to it.

So that's what the site outage was for. I hate,hate, hate margin advertising. Really spoils the reading experience. One way around is to click CTRL then + until the text box increases to fill the screen. The font is huge, though, so not a perfect answer. Please MN, if this is a trial, don't continue with it!

I not going to blardy well buy organix just coz its a huge annoying advert. Dont get it here anyway. Blardy well annoying as fuck.

I meant hold CTRL while pressing the + or - key (or roll the wheel on a wheel mouse) to increase, decrease text size. That will do what you want, Monty.

Is this the new look for MN then - side adverts? Because it is bloody awful.

PS - it led me to have negative thoughts about the brand being advertised. Prominence isn't always a good thing.

I stand corrected. It seems to be there when you're on the main Talk menu (except now it's some big-eyed cartoon characters or something) but to have disappeared when you go into an actual board. Maybe that's their compromise.

I will add any brands I see on ads like this to my don't buy shit list.

Is it still an issue? It's ok our end atm.
The Organix ads are supposed to be on the Homepage, not across the whole site.

If it's still a problem, can you tell us which device and browser you are using please?

I had this last night, green everywhere, horrible green too I thought it was just me like when the random dish washers appeared. I'm on safari on iPad.

That seems to have sorted now Rebecca - on my layout at least. (It was horrible last night.)

I appreciate that the Organix ads are now restricted to the Homepage - but what about the Despicable Whatsits that are now banded on the Talk Menu? Are they (or their successors) to be a permanent feature?
