Hi MNHQ

I am sure you are aware of this thread in chat about the member of gransnet who has been missing for a few days now.

It's not really my place, I know, but I just wondered if any of you might have a few media-related ideas of how to get this the most possible attention. The focus as I understand it is on finding her car. I'm not a media type, but I think some of you are very savvy in that area, and I think the missing woman's family would be ever so grateful if you could maybe brainstorm for a couple of mins and see if there might be anything that mumsnet could do to help.

Well done, Psammead.

Carol is an amazing woman, if there is anything you can do at HQ it would be wonderful.

magimedi · 31/10/2013 20:24

BUMP!!!!

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 02/11/2013 21:33

Mnhq - is there anything happening behind the scenes on this? I've seen nothing on discussion of the day, on the front page, the thread in chat was not stickied...

I do try not to be a PITA mostly, but is there nothing that mumsnet as a website might be able to do to get this into the spotlight a bit more?

Goodness the lack of coverage on here made me think she had been found,

Bump

giraffesCantGoGuising · 02/11/2013 21:39

Hope she is found soon

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 03/11/2013 10:21

MNHQ - here is the new thread in chat about Carol - she is still missing. Thngs are still moving slowly, and I believe that raising as much awareness as possible might possibly help. Would it be possible to sticky the thread in chat, and possibly make it discussion of the day?

Why are MNHQ ignoring this? How odd. Has anyone reported thi threa to bring it to their attention? Usually they are pretty quick responding to breads over here Confused

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 03/11/2013 10:39

Christ, I've just seen all my 'possibly/ies' in my above post. Thesaurus for Christmas, I think.

Cbeebies - feel free to report!

If you look onmy original post to the right, there are options to add message, report, message poster.

Click on report and use the little box to write whatever message you like to mumsnet.

Bump, surely someone at MNHQ has some ideas to help?

JustineMumsnet · 03/11/2013 12:20

Hi,
We're really not ignoring this. I know the Gransnet team have been in touch with the family via other Gransnetters, the French authorities are aware and we at MNHQ were in touch with the national press here about it last week - story has been reported in the Telegraph and Mail.

We'll certainly make it a discussion of the day too. Good thought.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 03/11/2013 12:37

Thanks, Justine.

Ahh, I knew you wouldn't be ignoring it behind the scenes! I'm sure everyone is very grateful for everything you've done. Hopefully she will be found very soon x

incogKNEEto · 04/11/2013 00:18

Thanks Justine, discussion of the day good idea, here's hoping for some good news soon, it's been so long Sad
