Why have you deleted a thread for being 'banal'

The thread about Colleen Nolan being a dim bulb.

It was a stupid chatty thread about terrible day time TV and presenters and ended up being a reminiscence about children's telly.

Is it because of the CLEARLY tongue in cheek comment in the OP which got people a-froth?

And as it reported by some tiresome dullard because of that?

Oh it was just mean and goady and pointless imho: coleen is thickest person in the world, daytime tv is for poor people etc etc

It wasn't a troll but it might as well have been. I emailed the OP btw to say we were deleting and was just having a bit of fun with the reason why. (Agree it's not a very good reason)

True, I think other mnhqers would have left it - I was just passing and stuck my oar in - I thought it should go!

I only ever discuss banal things - it's what I enjoy doing. Apart from interfering in things that are nothing to do with me but people shouldn't post on the internet if they don't want me to do that

No honestly I don't now Coleen! I admit there have been times when some uncharitable things have been said about folks I do know and it is a leetle awkward but I didn't delete them - Jon Ronson/ Tim Dowling spring to mind.

Though thinking about it, I'd like to reserve the right to delete nastiness about my bosom buds - got to be some perks to the job .

That photo is great. I laughed at the person who posted 'label them Friday, Saturday, birthday, Christmas.
