Just filled it in, and I think I need an extra option for the 'how often do you visit Mumsnet' question - 'Every ten minutes or so' or even 'Once I'm on, I don't really leave all day'.

I wouldn't stress about it.

It clearly says on the census page "Please rest assured that none of your personal details will be given to any third parties.."

Promise we are not passing any specific information to advertisers - we're just going to aggregate it, so you're right we don't need specific postcodes. We'll change the postcode thing to by region tonight - in the meantime please do include only the first bit. Thanks for pointing out and very sorry for any undue worry.

Yes pretty much Cupcakes, plus we want to know about how the average mumsnetter uses the site, so we make sure we thinking along the right lines for improvements etc

I filled it in, but got a bit annoyed that it assumed you live in the UK - I don't and there are plenty of other mnetters who don't as well.

I guess the advertisers aren't interested in overseas posters!

Hi - we've now updated the survey to ask for English region, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales and have included a field for Other for anyone outside the UK.

Self employed is now a option in the working status question and finally, you now hae the chance to say you spend days at a time on Mumsnet.

thats pretty much almost true aswell!!

When the survey is over, we're going to go through and change the postcodes into regions for our statistics. Please don't worry about anyone getting the information. And if anyone has a handy reference on which postcodes belong to which regions, it'd be much appreciated.
