This site is corrupt and supports abuse of its users

Hi, I just wanted to detail my recent experience on Mumsnet, at the very least there are some rogue admins here who are extremely biased/incompetent.

i posted several thoughtful posts in the current FGM discussion. Every post I made was fully within the rules, and on topic and not a single post was deleted (though admins did delete all the best posts in the thread that were written by other users).

My account was banned shortly after I received abusive personal attacks in the thread, with no action taken against the abuser who was quite clearly disrupting the discussion, and making the debate unpleasant with their breach of the site rules. it appears that others making equally civil posts have been banned too.

i made a replacement account and used this to report the posts in question as I felt staff must have missed them and made a mistake in banning me, however this account was then banned immediately after reporting the abusive posts.

Needless to say the abusive posts still remain in place without even the hint of a warning.

So in summary. Those civilly taking part in a discussion get banned from Mumsnet if their opinions aren't 100% in line with the Mumsnet feminist agenda. Similarly, basic rules such as no personal attacks do not apply if said attacks are made by a feminist towards a male. Furthermore, any victim of abuse reporting their victimisation by feminists will be banned form the site for reporting their abuse.

I'd appreciate an apology for what has occurred and for action to be taken against those making personal attacks. If , on the other hand, the above paragraph actually represents Mumnet's official site policy rather than the agenda of one rogue admin then perhaps you can please put it in writing so an right minded person knows not to use this site.

Many thanks.

Hi whatever4,

Please do mail us and we will happily explain your individual suspension.

We suspend accounts for a number of reasons, generally for breaking our Talk guidelines . We can sometimes get things wrong and will hold our hands up if this is the case on this occasion.

Please do mail us on [email protected] and we will happily take a look.

@BOF

Who do we think us the rogue admin? Is it that Rebecca again, being all maverick? She's a crazy kid.

I don't think I've ever been called a maverick before [excited]

RebeccaMumsnet · 15/09/2013 20:26

@HoneyDragon

I dunno Bof, Helen was so hardcore she once said Mitmoo.

And then deleted herself.

So I think Helen's the only HQer who's had a deletion.

yy, she was super hardcore.

I will pop in and see....

@SaggyOldClothCatPuss

Looks like blatant sockpupetting to me. why is this thread still standing?

We tend not to delete threads criticising MNHQ (unless they're really beyond the pale) - seems best to allow users (even slightly dubious ones) to discuss MNHQ's actions.

Just as soon as I get my corruption Hully

RowanMumsnet · 18/09/2013 09:54

I think it's Justine. She keeps all the abuse and corruption in a cupboard and hides the key

RowanMumsnet · 19/09/2013 09:42

@gamerchick

I've just been reading through a thread littered with abuse towards the OP which includes a pretty patronising post from an admin and it's still standing... or does anything go in aibu?

Or are threads at the discretion of the person dealing with the reports? Despite the fact it goes clearly against the talk guidelines that are frequently trotted out.

I'm not really arsed either way just to be clear just puzzled slightly.

Could you report it please gamerchick, if you haven't already? We'll take a look.

We do have a team of people who work on reports, and obviously some things do come down to the discretion of whoever happens to be on duty - but we do try to apply the Guidelines consistently across the board. That's not to say we don't sometimes get it wrong, though.
