Using qualifiers in Advanced Search

I vaguely remember MNHQ once saying that you could use the usual qualifiers. I have just tried searching using - and NOT but get a message saying an error occurred.

Is there a list of qualifiers you can use, anywhere?

No, Advanced Search doesn't respond to qualifiers at the moment, though it is due a bit of an overhaul at some point in the future.

You might find you get better results from a qualified search using the Google Search box at the top of the page.

Oooh - if you're overhauling advanced search can you also make it so that the button is available from the standard search results page. Sometimes I will use standard search, end up with far too many results so decide I need to do advanced search and the bloody button isn't on that page...if that makes sense...
