Petition to rename 'Mumsnet Classics' to just 'Classics' ... please?!

MNers are frequently directed to find old, funny threads in 'Classics', but half of them can't find 'Classics' at all.

How about just renaming it Classics?

Or will this just make Tech spontaneously combust? Grin

Signed, good idea Fru. :)

Thank you for the suggestion. We'll have a think. Smile

Thank you Sole Thanks, I was beginning to think this thread was going to get lost!

And thanks, Julie. The thing is, people obviously look in the 'Cs' - if they're searching alphabetically - but they don't realise it's in the 'Ms'

But wouldn't people think it was about Latin and Greek and whatnot?

FruOla · 07/08/2013 08:21

Good point Trills!

When I started this thread last week, I had just directed yet another lost MNer to Mumsnet Classics as she said she couldn't find Classics.

Maybe Classic Mumsnet Threads? So when people refer to Classics at least they'll find it where they expect to.

Tell them to open all topics and do a ctrl-f and search for Classics. They'll find it!

FruOla · 08/08/2013 16:23

Tee, indeed you are correct. But some MNers don't, or can't, find it that way.

Oh they will be able to find it if they engage their brains, surely.

ouryve · 08/08/2013 16:28

and there is no ctrl on a tablet.

If you are running Chrome there is a little menu-y button in the top right (you use it to open new tabs etc) which has the option "find in page".
