Usually in a relationships thread it means "Leave the bastard (!)"

BirdyBedtime · 07/06/2013 11:28

Ah - thanks. That makes it all clearer!

Ooh I guessed long term boyfriend. I'm clearly not getting enough time to read threads. I blame that Justine.

You can tell tech is a boy. Chuh.

FruOla · 07/06/2013 17:27

Birdy, here is the official Acronyms page www.mumsnet.com/info/acronyms - but there are loads more that are used, which aren't on that list (it probably needs a bit of updating).

For example, many people get confused with the acronym 'EA', which can mean either Emotional Abuse or Estate Agent.

Hahaha, TheBirdsFell, "You can tell tech is a boy'. I'm sure he'd be delighted to be described as 'a boy', given that his description of himself - on his profile - is "a 45 year old grumpy old man" (or something like that) Grin.

Now, Tech, you using 'long term boyfriend' and 'I blame that Justine' indicates a relationship between you and Justine that none of us had thought about before Shock Confused Wink

Well done, Sioban. As this thread is now 5 years old I guess that the OP has worked it out by now, especially as someone upthread gave a link to the MN acronyms.

I'm a structural engineer and can tell you it means lateral torsional buckling (of a beam)
