the mclibel 2 did pretty well defending themsleves. as i say, in this case there is a very clear cut case in that the posts were deleted as soon as they were brought to mn's attention. there'd be no dillying about over whether this or that was libellous. i doubt it would get to court.

Yes, but MN may feel behoven to close if, say, they lost a court case and then had staggering legal costs to pay - or even an appeal.

Legal representation is anything but cheap, nor is talk, if this case is used as an example.

my point is that no-one in their position has lost such a case.
