Afternoon.

We are currently mopping up after close on 100 (and that's just the last count) spammers posted all over our boards last night and this morning.

Thank you for all your reports. We hope you'll understand that we're not going to reply to them. Please take it as read that we're really grateful.

IMPORTANT: we think we have tabs on pretty much all of the spammers now, so (even if we haven't deleted them all yet) so there is no need to report any more. In fact, any more reports and our system might keel over!

Once we can see the wood for the trees, we'll post again and ask you to report any remaining spam posts we might have missed.

Please bear with us. We are getting there.

Echo I can't help squeezing spots either but you do always seem to end up with a 100 more for the privilege!

What I don't get is why they think they will achieve anything by spamming a UK site which is largely used by women with link to US sporting events. There were at least a UK footie matches thrown in for good measure the other day but nothing but US stuff today.What is the point? Nobody is interested or is advertising not their reason for doing this?

Squeezing one spot does not lead to 100 more. Do it properly and the spot goes away. It's more disgusting to leave them all yellow and bursty! All spots should be squeezed!

I don't actually get yellow bursty ones, that's probably the problem, I'm trying to squeeze something that pretty much doesn't exist.

Safe, honest. I am not a spambot. And I STILL haven't clicked. Mostly because I cannot afford to kill my laptop!

I LOVE squeezing spots. And blackheads. Maybe I need to do that with my itchy fingers...

If it doesn't have a head, it's not squeezable. Those are the ones you make worse!

Oh Schro that's rubbish! Obviously you're lucky to have lovely, blackhead free skin, but I can spend HOURS de-blackheading my nose. I feel great afterwards!

Arts and crafts pictures now has one spam thread. FFS, lol, head desk, face palm etc

But I don't have lovely skin because I squeeze all the non spots! Gah!

Aah I see. You must not squeeze the non spots! See, if it weren't for the spammers, this spot related conversation wouldn't have started and Saggy wouldn't have been able to instruct you on correct spot squeezing techniques!

FYI if they're below the skin spots, there's probably pus underneath and if you leave it alone it'll get a head. Squeezing too early will force it down, spreading the infection and causing more spots. I THINK that's what I was told by my Dsis, who's a beautician. I may have made it up!

re. spots - bluesuede, that's what I was told as well. If the pus breaks through its capsule into the surrounding tissues then --> more spots. Certainly takes a damn sight longer to heal, I know that. But you also have to get all the pus out for it to heal properly.
