I think Christmas decorations traditionally come down after the Epiphany on Jaunary 6 (ie. today), don't they? I think digital 'decorations' still count!

LadyMaryChristmas · 06/01/2013 12:24

Leave them up and stop being scrooge! Xmas Grin

Slubberdegullion · 06/01/2013 12:27

History Today cor, well [the sad decorations face] if that link it to be believed the carrot on the snowman and possibly the biscuit with a jaunty Santa hat have brought tree spirits onto the site and we now all face an agricultural diasster.

Tyvm mn, just what I don't need this year.

It's Epiphany today, our kings finally reach the stable/house (if you want to be totally correct). When they have given their gifts to the baby Christmas ends.

DCs go to school tomorrow so lights going off tonight fits perfectly.

RebeccaTheHallsMumsnet · 06/01/2013 14:51

They are going tonight, the snowman was getting a bit too warm, we don't want to see him flood the place now do we. Xmas Wink

LadyMaryChristmas · 06/01/2013 15:11

Poor snowman. Can't you put him in the freezer? Xmas Smile

FruOla · 06/01/2013 15:28

Oh crikey ... here we go again! Xmas Grin

Twelfth Night was last night - the 5th January! So decorations should have been down before nightfall last night.

And you're right, Slubber, the poor old snowman should go too Xmas Sad Xmas Wink

FruOla · 06/01/2013 15:32

And thanks to Sauvignon Blanche, who linked to this on another thread - Twelfth Night = projectbritain.com/Xmas/twelfthnight/index.html

Slubberdegullion · 06/01/2013 15:54

Fru aaaaarhh you just used the be-FC-hatted emoticons, I think that means you might have an agricultural disaster coming your way.

I burnt my once were alive decorations last night to properly sort those spirits, and we threw bread at my tree so I am safe.
