Where's the floaty bar gone?

The one that would appear when you scrolled down, that had links to active, I'm on, etc. Mine has gone and there's nothing mentioned about it in customise anymore either. Used to be an on/off switch in there for it.

I miss it :(

Yes, we took it down because we had so many cross mails about it.

I found it really useful and am totally lost without it - it makes the site less easy to navigate.

I like to read a thread down the page (instead of 'flipping' the page so the last message is at the top) so in order to get back to Active or Im On, I have to scroll all the way back up screen (on a long thread it is just annoying frankly).

I hated it at first, but love it now and really can't be arsed if its not there.

Noooooo, please bring it back. It's so useful, especially if you've minimised your window because you're supposed to be working.

I miss it. I've customised to display the entire thread, latest post at the bottom, si I really find it useful.

The floaty bar (whose been using its time off from Mumsnet to visit Europe) is very touched, and tells me it never realised how loved it was.

We are working on getting it back, and having it as an "opt in", rather than a "opt out" feature. Bear with us!

Just go to Customise/Other options/Hide the viewport bar (A.K.A. slide bar) and select No.
