I know which bit you mean. Its that "adchoices" bit on the right hand side on active convos yes? I just clicked the "adchoices" link and it took me tothis which suggests its to do with google which ads are displayed and not MN?

No I dont think its related to your googling history at all. It seems that this adchoices sponsor ads from random people who sign up and that adchoices is either a part of google or linked to google in some way.

Olivia its appeared quite recently I think - when on Active convos you've got Discussions of the Day on the right, below that a sponsored ad, and then this adchoices under that which displays three random ads, normally parentintg type stuff but obv not for AF
