We had this once before I seem to recall. I think it's an ipad thing - it sometimes gets confused and shows an image from elsewhere on the page or from its cache. The last time someone (was it Justine actually? I can't remember) was getting the picture of the stork carrying a baby from our pregnancy pages instead of an emoticon or another image.
Clearing the history on the ipad should fix it (settings, safari, clear history and clear cookies and data) but will also cause you to lose any auto-login info you might have. It sounds from the threads like restarting the ipad also fixes it.
