i have won twice

in fact feel so sure I'll never win again that I never enter

won a load of maternity wear for sister
and a Barbie and Me doll for dd2

Hulababy · 11/02/2006 08:17

Have to admit that I have won 4 times - 3 in this name, 1 in a different name I used briefly.

Hulababy · 11/02/2006 08:19

I won:

  • tickets to see Barney live (don't think anyone else entered!!!)
  • Easy2Name name tags
  • Aladdin DVD, t shirt and bag

and one other - can't think what it is now???

Can't imagine I will ever win again!!!

we have not even got to see what winning recipe is

Rowlers · 11/02/2006 22:15

I've only ever won an Ultravox poster when I was 13.
Not on MN obviously.
Problem is, I can't think of any more reviews or tips. I'm all reviewed / tipped out.

pepsi · 11/02/2006 22:23

Im a sporadic poster on Mumsnet, struggle to find the time to log on regularly. I enter loads of comps, probably 200 in the last year, inc. Mumsnet ones and havent won a sausage......Ive even resorted to phoning to enter Richard & Judy's U say we pay........does anyone know anyone who has ever one anything like this?

Beetroot · 11/02/2006 22:26

but MN is for everybody, not just for people who can't type.

(Bitter non-winner)

expatinscotland · 11/02/2006 23:32

It's even for people who come here just to sell things they got for free - sometimes off other MNetters.

JoolsToo · 11/02/2006 23:33

it's be nice to have the number of posts you've made by your name

could be a bit for some though (myself included!

threelittlebabies · 11/02/2006 23:42

Like ebay stars JoolsToo?

JoolsToo · 11/02/2006 23:45

eek! do i know you? - what do you mean? fess up!
have you changed your name 3lb?

SorenLorensen · 11/02/2006 23:45

So I wasn't the only one who ran a search on her to see if she'd ever posted Didn't start a thread on it though.

Question: Which is worse, a winner who has never posted or a winner who has only posted on the Buying and Selling threads ?

JoolsToo · 11/02/2006 23:47

a winner who has never posted

at least a seller has had to pay summat

motherfunkerhunkermunker · 11/02/2006 23:48

HC, even going on about it didn't get me the blinking prize though.

DS1 is still Fifi-less. And he wasn't even DS1 when I won the comp, just plain DS!

JoolsToo · 11/02/2006 23:53

you won a prize but never got it?

cruel, cruel world

threelittlebabies · 12/02/2006 00:11

JT- what??!! Am panicking now! Just meant your number of posts idea would be like ebay stars thing, you can see how long/much someone has been around. Haven't changed name- apart from WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre at xmas. Was just answering post, sorry!

SL- did you mean you searched to see if I had posted before? Am all paranoid now!

motherfunkerhunkermunker · 12/02/2006 12:26

Yes, JT - won it in November and still not here

Will have to mention it, subtle-like, I think

SorenLorensen · 12/02/2006 13:19

Threelittlebabies - don't be paranoid, bless. I didn't search you, I searched the competition winner to see if she'd posted because I didn't recognise the name. Tbh, I don't really care who wins - I'm still gutted about winning a GI Diet Book in the same competition where OliveOil won a holiday in Italy. I did get my book though - unlike poor hunker and the Mystery of the Missing Fifi.

Pip · 12/02/2006 13:28

I've never even entered a MN competition. Right I'm off to investigate, wish me luck.

Pip · 12/02/2006 14:03

Pah. There isn't even one running.
