What's this with certain words coming up in blue then when you click on them or put cursor over - an advert. V.v.v. annoying ! How do I get rid ?

Hi, it sounds like you've accidentally downloaded a toolbar or other "helper" that does this. This microsoft page might help (presuming you are on windows.)

Hi, I think codec-c is a malware / trojan / virus-type program that pretends to be something (a codec) that you need to play videos, but isn't really. If you have a computer that has it, you should probably remove it.
