Just off to hide a few threads!

Sorry, we don't. Am delirious from lack of sleep. Of course, we meant less easy to hide threads by accident.

I want tick boxes to hide multiple threads at once

I love the new facility. I didn't use the old hide much because you would be quizzed back to the top of Active Convos and have to scan the thread titles again. This facility will improve my MNing experience no end.

Zombie doesn't have ickle "-" signs nor does she have "Manage hidden threads".

Zombie uses Mumsnet New on a laptop.

Zombie would hate to think MN are discriminating against Zombie.

How do you hide whole topics again? Please?

Do you have to be in MN New to be hiding?

ifyousayso - Click on customise and scroll down to the bottom for topic hiding. My life is happier since I lost camping. Not sure if have to be in MN new or not.

What have you hidden?

Well, it's a blardy revelation. I've hidden AIBU and it's effectively a Hide Poster option. For moi.

Zombie has found them. She didn't know they needed to be turned on in Customise.

I can't find where customise is even to start with! I have tried, honest, even managed to remember password and logged in all proper like, still don't know how to do it.

Please someone help me, I have asked further upthread but to no avail. I need STEP by STEP idiot proof instructions.

CuttedUpPear, look at the very top of this page. Customise is the first option beside "Talk" which is underneath "Mumsnet Talk" (which is in big letters).

V glad to see others have struggled to customise by hiding just as much as I have.

But there is still a great void on the right hand side of the page with no lovely minus buttons in it at all.

OK. When you're in Customise, scroll down until you find this:

Put "hide" link on Active Conversations? (hide selected threads from Talk):

It needs to say "Yes" beside that. Does it?

If not, change to "Yes", save and exit. Zombie don't think she needed to log out and back in for it to take effect.

Is it possible that the HIDE TOPICS thing has been reset though? I suddenly have pushchairs in my timeline, and I am pretty sure that I had hidden that topic.

Otherwise love the new button and am happily zapping everything that moves.
