I won't be posting on mumsnet until this is sorted out and our lovely online home is our own again. Somewhere reasonably safe, with campaigns to be proud of like "We Believe You".

MN needs to be somewhere that women especially can feel welcome and free from the sort of harassment that invaders have subjected the site to lately.

I invite anybody else who feels the same way to a temporary withdrawal from posting.

Let's cut off the oxygen to twits, and come back when they've got bored.

Good luck to HQ with getting rid of them and making this the best site for women on the web again.

Afternoon, folks.

Please do feel free not to engage with posters - either here or on Facebook - who only seem intent on provoking an intemperate response.

As any mother of a toddler knows, tantrums fizzle out fastest when you choose to ignore.

But we would be most Shock and Sad if you all decided to up sticks and not post at all.

There are dozens of other threads on Mumsnet today - and every day - that are worthy of your wise, witty and warm posts. Do please feel free to join them.

@Trills

Does anyone else think that Helen needs a patented unMNy-hug?

Bless you. And yes I do.

@StewieGriffinsMom

NinthWave your comment about the We Believe You campaign is important because members of F4J are posting all over MN's FB claiming that most women lie about domestic violence. Since DV also includes rape, I think it's quite hypocritical for MN to refuse to delete those posts.

I am very angry at being libelled all over the MN FB page and MNHQ refusing to delete personal attacks on me. I use this name on FB but I don't think that is reason not to delete personal attacks on me.

We're not refusing to SGM. Sorry if you got that impression. We're just running hard to catch up - and regularly tripping over and falling flat on our faces. Those posts on our FB page have been removed. Do let us know if we've missed any.

@StewieGriffinsMom

Helen - I have an email stating that the posts I had reported weren't being deleted. That's why I deleted the link to the ASA that I had posted on FB. It was because I couldn't bear to see the remark remain knowing how many women on here have been accused of lying about their experiences of domestic violence.

You have mail, SGM.
