They weren't on a thread this am. So either today or it's just you !

Pascha · 13/03/2012 12:00

I noticed it too!

Maybe some of us/you have a case of the Emperor's new clothes.....

IamtheZombie · 13/03/2012 14:00

Zombie has just checked a thread where she knows HQ deleted some posts. They are highlighted in light grey.

Zombie suspects this is so that REAL Message deleted by Mumsnet posts can be distinguished from the mucking about Message deleted by Mumsnet that some members occasionally post.

Pascha · 13/03/2012 14:44

Does Zombie do that then?

OP posts:
Tech · 13/03/2012 18:10

Does Zombie always talk about Zombie in the third person? Is that Zombie's schtick?

Tech is thinking of adopting overuse of "one" in an affected manner. Of course one feels that one should have a signature style so that persons can distinguish one from les autres. One has to be careful in these matters though to avoid giving pedants the impression that one doesn't know the difference between 'one' and 'I.' It's a tricky one.

Wasn't criticising by the way [paranoid.] I like the zombie style.

Pascha · 13/03/2012 18:19

Is Tech the Queen then?

Zombie doesn't think Tech's profile picture looks much like the Queen, Pascha.

To answer your earlier question, Zombie cannot recall ever having posted Message deleted by Mumsnet. She has merely observed its use by others.

Ah, Tech blue-ness seems to take precedence over deleted greyness. Hmm.

IamtheZombie · 13/03/2012 19:01

Zombie has sent you a PM with a link to a thread with grey messages, MaryZ.

But, no, Tech has not said how long nor confirmed (or denied) Zombie's theory.

Oh that's mean, I'm now having to exercise industrial strength willpower just to stop myself posting foul mouthed libels concerning SWMNBN and mitmoo in an attempt to test this out.

Seriously however, I think that is actually a good idea: so many people post "MDBM" for comic effect that it's useful to indenting the genuine ones.

Where "indenting"="identify" as even this damn fool iPhone should have realised.

Pascha · 13/03/2012 19:24

Doesn't show on mobile.
