I like my posts highlighted in a tasteful pale pink however it has just occurred to me

that they are only highlighted in my mumsnet not in everyone's.

Surely some mistake?

Wouldn't it be helpful for everyone to have my posts highlighted to help them be found and so people don't have to trawl through long threads to find out what I have to say on the matter.

:o

Kewcumber · 25/02/2012 11:50

or maybe we could have a colour coding:

Pink: for those of use who meet certain minimum standards though can't decide whether they should be content or grammar criteria
Blue: silly - pay no attention
green with warty brown spots: troll alert - do NOT feed the troll.

OP posts:
QED · 25/02/2012 11:52

My posts are purple :)

Kewcumber · 25/02/2012 11:56

What would purple mean?

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 25/02/2012 11:57

(btw - unbeleiveably it really has only just occurred to me that my posts are not in pink for everyone!)

OP posts:
Trills · 25/02/2012 11:58

When I first did it I marvelled at how much most posts stood out and thought "that's a bit attention-seeky, isn't it?" Thankfully it was only my attention that I was grabbing.

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 25/02/2012 11:59

Kew Grin

But you are right, like MN has blue, you and I should have the lovely pale green I have the pink it utterly vile, on my laptop anyway

QED · 25/02/2012 12:01

Purple is for perfect people :)

Kewcumber · 25/02/2012 12:04

Ah trills that makes me feel better. Chipping of course it hasn't really just occurred to me liar liar pants on fire

you are purple. I am pink.

i think i'd like to be yellow.

KatieMiddleton · 25/02/2012 12:09

Shock My posts are purple.

I think you must mean "fantastic" rather than "fantasist". Of course your posts, as the original poster are all green on this thread.

Kewcumber · 25/02/2012 12:37

no - even if you are the original poster you keep your colour. Am not fickle, I stick with my colour regrdless.

OP posts:
QED · 25/02/2012 12:37

Bother have got confused Blush. My posts are actually pink Grin. The OP has purple posts

KatieMiddleton · 25/02/2012 12:39

Nope. Yours are green to me. The original highlight op colour. Like MNHQ's are light blue.

hippoCritt · 25/02/2012 12:46

OP is pink mine are grey here rainbow boards sounds great

BettyPerske · 25/02/2012 12:48

Oh blimey though Kew your posts are pink on mine too! I have you highlighted! So you were right! Smile

I am the darker pinky/bleurgh colour fwiw...though I imagine I'm not on your screen.

Eaglewings · 25/02/2012 12:50

Please can we have a colour for people who know they can't spell perfectly but don't want anyone else to comment on it thank you very much
No I don't have a problem with my self esteem on this topic - much :)

LadyNada · 25/02/2012 12:52

Kew you are green on my laptop.

I am purple.

I think the solution is for us all to change the OP's posts to pale pink and for Kew only to start threads and never post on anyone else's. Of course this will mean starting threads about threads quite a lot, or a plethora of PMs saying 'please Kew will you start this thread for me...?'

You see, because you have started this thread, you and you alone are highlighted in green from where I am sitting. Whe I pick this up later (in 'Threads I'm on) I shall be in purple (but, sadly, only to my viewing, not everyone else's).

OliviaMumsnet · 25/02/2012 13:39

Ahem
MNHQ post in blue.
Do you have something you'd like to share, Kew?!

LadyNada · 25/02/2012 13:51

Kew has disappeared.

Shock What did you do to her, Olivia...?!

PS To be clear, I think people who post in blue are ace.

BackforGood · 25/02/2012 15:01

Shock Didn't realise MNHQ had the power to make people disappear in a puff of smoke !
I absolutely agree with LadyNada, that people who are highlighted in blue are indeed wise, humerous, and gereally all round good eggs.

HelenMumsnet · 25/02/2012 16:38

VERY perceptive, BackForGood Wink
