Bleeding 'eck that KH is a bit in your face Shock

Loved Katie MN mentioning that the olympics just might not be a quiet event Grin

ILoveGreggsSausageRolls · 25/01/2012 20:33

Can somebody link the interview for me?

TIA

pinkteddy · 25/01/2012 20:39

God why is that woman rolled out at every opportunity - she is hideous! Ilovegreggs - it is linked further up the thread.

CotherMuckingFunt · 25/01/2012 20:40

That bloody woman was so rude and bitchy and... well... she was a bit of a cunt really.

Good on you KatieMN

DebiTheScot · 25/01/2012 20:47

I've only just watched this. What a rude woman! Aside from what she was saying being rude and offensive, she butted into everyone else speaking.

Does she really think everyone has access to childcare for small babies for a whole day (at least)?

I'm still don't get why people don't want babies there. The stadium will be so noisy and even at the quiet bits the families with babies will most probably be so far away from the action that no-one will hear the 'squawking' babies anyway.

MsCorleone · 25/01/2012 20:58

Katie H is a dick

KateShmate · 25/01/2012 21:18

Katie H is so irritating - what was with all the hair-swishing and cockiness?!

"We have an email here for you Katie H, lets have a look"

(KH) " lets !"

Every time Katie MN said something, stupid KH (she deserves that) was literally RIGHT in her face, nearly touching noses!

GColdtimer · 26/01/2012 07:06

She is such an awful woman. And her kids are way beyond toddler stage but she was emphatic they weren't going (as she boasted about her bloody final tickets).

What was she like when the cameras were off?

MaMattoo · 26/01/2012 07:16

Oh my! Oh my! I want to get hold of a squalling baby and find this woman at the Olympics and sit next to her! Really! Grin
I fooled myself into thinking such people don't exist!!! Angry
Also like the 'mumsnet' blanket under which I find myself! Wink

Oh my! Breastfeeding and attitudes like hers are around in today's day and age! Wow!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 26/01/2012 07:25

Gosh KH is vile. She came across as quite demented, with all that pointing and gesticulation.

Well done Katie MN, you did incredibly well to keep your cool. I don't think Bill and Sian were impressed with KH at all.

cureall · 26/01/2012 07:29

Another storming victory for MN.

I wonder if that obnoxious woman will ever watch that vid back and see what we see... how any man managed to get it up to have kids with her in the first place is a stretch of the imagination. Wish I hadn't gone there actually...

eatyourveg · 26/01/2012 07:45

I happen to like KH simply because she makes me laugh so much with her extreme take on things. No-one takes her seriously surely, or if they do, they shouldn't!

Takes all sorts to make a world and without the KHs we wouldn't fully appreciate the KO'Ds

LetsKateWin · 26/01/2012 08:11

She's so ridiculous. Whenever she's on Question Time she always makes herself look very silly indeed. I'd love to see what she's like off camera.

CountBapula · 26/01/2012 08:23

Katie H, for example, is a twat.

ILoveGreggsSausageRolls · 26/01/2012 08:35

Thanks Pinkteddy I didn't see that.

Needs to go back to Specsavers Grin

jetstar · 26/01/2012 08:43

Oh My Goodness Me! She (KH) barely has an opinion! I guess she didn't bf then Grin Sounds like she doesn't even like children, she should stay indoors.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 26/01/2012 08:57

What's that lump thing on top of her head? < shallow >
And why is she wearing that hideous twin-set with what looks suspiciously like a pie-crust blouse underneath?

Weird body language as well, she's clearly had some coaching and thinks she has to act like she's addressing a conference. Basically said nothing apart from 'MNers are rabid bfers' and 'I don't want to sit next to a squalling (sic) baby.'

JugglingWithSnowballs · 26/01/2012 09:10

Whilst I thought our Katie did very well, I felt she could have emphasised even more the need of young babies to be with their mothers for comfort and especially when breastfeeding (when it's often a necessity) So maybe quote the WHO health guidelines that mothers should BF their infants for the first year ( I think that's the guideline) In which case that gives clear guidance that infants under 1 ( possibly extend to under 2 ?) should be able to be with their mother for what will usually be for most an all day family outing.
( I thought the fact you may have bought the tickets before conceiving the baby, though an interesting sideline perhaps, isn't really the point )
But well done Katie MN - all the key points charmingly put across Smile
Good to have our corner defended !
( Intro was a bit weird though from presenters "MN has been inundated with complaints on this issue" - Well not quite, it's a discussion forum Smile )

wahwahwah · 26/01/2012 09:22

I suspect Hatie didn't breast feed.

eatyourveg · 26/01/2012 09:28

what I don't understand is if you have a 10,000 seater event (no idea what the capacity of a stadium might be) and sell 10,000 tickets. If say 100 of these are tickets for babies of a few weeks old, is the seat empty or is it merely somewhere to place the portable carseat?

JugglingWithSnowballs · 26/01/2012 09:30

Also some BFing mothers are not able to leave their babies for a whole day or even a few hours if they are breastfeeding (as per WHO guidelines) and not necessarily able to express. This was my experience - though dd and I were able to establish BFing very naturally and easily neither of us were able to make a success of expressing and bottle feeding ( which is a completely different thing for both mother and baby) though we did try a few times hoping Daddy might be able to share feeding etc.
This will apply to many mothers and new babies and so not making reasonable provision is discriminatory to the mother, and surely against the Olympic spirit, where everyone can come together to celebrate as a community Smile

LittleWhiteWolf · 26/01/2012 09:39

Total respect for KateMumsnet having just watched the link. The brilliant end note had me chortling.

KH, shouting down your opponents does not mean you are a good debater, nor that you "won" somehow. Like someone pointed out earlier, even if she had made valid points, that gets lost in the arrogant way she behaved.

bemybebe · 26/01/2012 09:40

Katie H is a village idiot and brought in for most programmes for the entertainment factor. Nobody debating serious issues would seek her.

I v much hope she will be surrounded with families with babes in arms at Olympics and chokes on her own bile. Wink Grin

wahwahwah · 26/01/2012 09:45

Do you think Haite ever goes home, closes the door and cries at how nasty people are to her? I often wonder about people who seem to have a big mouth and armadillo skin. Or are they so unselfaware that they can't see that they are ever in the wrong?

JugglingWithSnowballs · 26/01/2012 09:52

Oh I think Katie H is OK actually ! I just don't agree with many of her opinions.

And I'd like her more if she stood up for the sisterhood occasionally ! Grin
