Aparently my NN is Oblomov, but its not

I have been told that registration details weren't seen, both by my alter ego and MNHQ. Was rather bothered by it all.

it's not so much the r egistration details (you need to know the password to get into those) but details of namechanges (form threads I'm on) and inbox/sent message info that is more concerning.

just from pm messages I have sent this week, someone could easily work out: where I live, where my dds go to school, would have my mobile number, and know a whole lot of info about my children I would rather they did not know (sensitive info about dd1)

That's bad. Just as well I'm a bit of a no mates loner and don't pm really. Hope you weren't affected.

well, in my case, I have said before where I live, and where dd1 goes to school, so not too bothered, but just illustrating a point really.

the sensitive info I would not be amused about, though - it was sent via pm for a reason; I didn't want just anyone reading it.

This was indeed a technical glitch, we've fixed the issue and reset everyone's login status, so all doppelgängers should be gone now.

Logins to MyMumsnet (incl. your registration details, email, password, nick history etc.) are on a separate system and so no-one would have been able to access these details if they were accidentally logged in with your talk username.

Apologies about this, it was our fault and hopefully won't happen again.

This isn't fixed - it happened to me just a few minutes ago. I logged out and back in again and I'm me again .... for now.

Its happened to me again.

Logged out, then back in and was back to myself. Wandered off to look at another site, came back and noticed my 'odd' post in the Big Slim/Whatever Weight Loss Club was highlighted pink again. Sure enough I had become 'shelfy74' again.

Obviously I have now logged out and back in and am me again, but this does seem to be an ongoing problem.

I have emptied my cache to see if it makes any difference - so far I'm still me - whether I stay that way remains to be seen.

This is all very unsettling.
