Hi all,

We're trying to track down this rogue ad for you, but could use a little more detail. If you come accross a noisy ad, can you please let us know:

  • Which page you saw it on (copy + paste the URL will do fine)
  • What browser you are using (and if JavaScript is enabled)
  • What company the advert is for

We'll try and sort this out as soon as we can, and any help you can give us would be most appreciated. :)

Can't find any now. Have you taken them off already?

I think there was one for Veet as well.

HelenMumsnet · 24/06/2011 11:38

Hello. Is anyone still seeing these ads this morning?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 24/06/2011 13:28

Not got any so far, thank God.

Would only add that if they do return, then those who are concerned about waking any children could easily disable the sound... or keep the volume low until you want to play music or video.

In the past (not on MN) I've had annoying noisy ads at 3 in the morning. Firefox has has an add-on called FlashBlock or similar which changes any embedded Flash so it does not "play" (but you can play it by clicking it if you want, and it shows a triangular 'play' symbol).
