mn hq, while we're on the subject of moving threads, please can we have a ban of breastfeeding threads...

... esp from the ibu topic.

There is a breast/bottlefeeding topic. The almost daily bf/ff rucks in the ibu topic are getting immensely tedius. so could these be routinely moved into the bf topic? or could you create a "I'd like to have a bf/ff ruck" topic instead?

lol

Bit0fFunnyBunny · 16/04/2011 12:56

Seconded.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 16/04/2011 12:57

Yes those threads regurgitate the same old same old, but why read them if they annoy you so much? Just ignore.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 16/04/2011 12:59

All very well, but in addition to the various nobdie etc threads, if you ignore them then they clutter up your active convos and if you hide them then you spend all your time hiding threads. That's why topics were invented, so you didn't have to faff around hiding countless whitterings that you're not interested in.

DramaInPyjamas · 16/04/2011 13:06

Oh, I can't ignore. I'm too nosy

How do you hide topics btw? Am not sure I know how..

Pagwatch · 16/04/2011 13:06

There should be an 'i want a bf/ff ruck" topic. Excellent idea wannabe.

Can we also have an "I am something of a bigot and would like to share my somewhat ignorant yet dearly held views" topic

ilythia · 16/04/2011 13:06

let have a 'put threads where they fricking belong and not where you think they will get most hits' amnesty

Itsjustafleshwound · 16/04/2011 13:08

Personally, I wouldn't be too upset to see the AIBU topic disappear into the ether and never return ....

It should be replaced by the better phrased WWYD topic

Itsjustafleshwound · 16/04/2011 13:10

Or the state the bleeding obvious/red rag to a bull thing and then get plenty of YANBU's to rub in the face of the offending party (MIL/ DH ....)

Tee2072 · 16/04/2011 13:10

I think what we really need is a 'I'm actually a child in school hols and want to impress my friends by starting a thread on MN that kicks off' topic.

That would cover 99% of the current bun fight threads, I think.

Or a WSIHD? topic.

What Should I Have Done?

GwendolineMaryLacey · 16/04/2011 13:12

AIBAP (am I being a pillock?)

ilythia · 16/04/2011 13:28

Or CAAWMOE (Come and agree with me or else)

NoWittyName · 16/04/2011 16:51

loving this!

UKParents had (?has) a "Debate" topic. Most the contentious stuff neatly contained.

wannaBe · 16/04/2011 20:57

well, I don't hide them because if they're in ibu then I consider them fair game to air my views on. Wink

Bit0fFunnyBunny · 16/04/2011 23:30

UKParents? Is that still going? I have a feeling that's the one I broke in the nineties by being really dull.

PaganOfBologna · 16/04/2011 23:35

Sadly the BF/FF debate has no new ground for many of us who have been here since before we started neglecting our children. However the continual re-hashing is more than educational for the many newbies amongst us. It is a rite of passage in MN I think.

Congrats Tee2072 Grin

Can we also move royal wedding threads from there?
