So, what are the new rules of bolding? I am making a pig's ear of it....

I do appreciate I am overly fond of the bold, and perhaps it is designed to be discouraging, but are there new rules of which I am unaware? It's all going wrong!

Hi there,

You can bold a single word, as you know, by adding a at either side of the word with no spaces. The same goes for making a whole sentence bold, so a at either end of the sentence will make all of the words enclosed within the *'s bold.
Just be careful of spaces as this will break the code that makes the word bold

but, Rebecca, you can't bold (or italicize) twice in a paragraph.

i can italicize but if i try to cancel the italicize , it only does one with a "^" in the middle
