mumsnet logo - has it always been purple?

Am I going mad? I have just noticed the mumsnet logo is in purple and I'm fairly sure it was in dark blue before - has it changed or am I just spectacularly unobservant/going mad? Confused

Help!

I haven't even had any Wine so that's no excuse...
(or maybe that's the problem Wink)

It was definitely Blue up until this morning Confused

ShowOfHands · 08/03/2011 10:29

Nah it's usually blue. Another thread running atm agreeing that it looks bloody awful.

It looks bruised.

MirandaWest · 08/03/2011 10:29

It is usually blue isn't it?

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 10:31

Oh thank God! I didn't see another thread but then I only looked in site stuff, so the other thread must be in chat or something.

Glad I'm not losing the plot anyway and I hope they CHANGE IT BACK TO BLUE (are you listening, Tech people?)

Hi all,

Today is International Women's Day, and so Mumsnet has changed its logo to purple for one day to mark the occasion. I hope you like it, if not it'll be back to normal tomorrow! :)

MirandaWest · 08/03/2011 10:33

Is it suggesting women are purple? In a sort of "When I am old I will wear purple" type of way?

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 10:33

Ah DamianTech - thank you! Please turn it back to blue tomorrow - the purple clashes rather horribly with the pink on one of your banner adverts at the top of the page. :)

OP posts:
ShowOfHands · 08/03/2011 10:33

Are you wearing a dress for the day Damian? I do hope it's purple.

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 10:33

That'll be one of the Mumsnet Guides adverts then Blush

HelenMumsnet · 08/03/2011 10:53

lol at colour clashing!

DamienTech assures us it's the same colour as the purple in Post Message and Mumsnet Talk/Recipe of the Week etc etc, so it should all blend beautifully together

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 10:56

oh it is - but they're not right next to the pink banner ad. It is changing back tomorrow, isn't it? Please?

AitchTwoOh · 08/03/2011 10:58

PurplePillow · 08/03/2011 10:58

Well I like the purple but I am biased WinkGrinGrin

GrimmaTheNome · 08/03/2011 10:59

Well at least it wasn't pink and sparkly.

FGS, do MNHQ never read the threads on gender stereotyping? Grin

Ihavewelliesbuttheyrenotgreen · 08/03/2011 10:59

I quite like it Smile

SeeJaneKick · 08/03/2011 10:59

lilsmate · 08/03/2011 11:09

I much preferred the blue rinse look

whomovedmychocolate · 08/03/2011 11:14

It's all a bit liberal democrat Wink

thumbwitch · 08/03/2011 11:20

Green would have been nicer...
or purple fading to green (yes I know it sounds hideous but it works quite well acksherly)

WMMC - why libdem? Are they not still goldy-orange?

Feck! Did I miss Shrove Tuesday? Is it today? They don't seem to pay any attention to it in Australia, no ads or anything and it's not on my calendar or in my diary :(
