I think it looks messier without it. Before, the two rows of links (where the Topics link was) were roughly the same length. Now the first one is quite a bit shorter than the second.

I doesn't matter how many ways there are to get there if you used the way that has now disappeared

'cmon you Luddites. Isn't 5 (read them 5) ways of getting to the Topics page in one screen (good work Baroque) enough to suggest that it was redundant? Anything that makes a web page less cluttered is a good thing in my book.

If you're at the bottom of the page having read the thread from top to bottom you can click on

"popular forums" under shortcuts - and of course there's the links to the most popular forums underneath that as well

I liked it there because that's where I look the most - to click on other links like active convos, threads i'm on, last hour. Rarely look elsewhere tbh.

Why couldn't they have removed one of the other ways though? If the intent was to make it less cluttered.

It's the easiest way, the way I know....the way I can cope with!
