Or am I special ???

I quote...

" HI Queen,

I really like your messages and posts on this Mumsnet forum. I really love your attitude & expression.

The most important thing i like your id : Queen of Fucking Everything. You can respond me on this id.... "

Hmm Hmm Hmm

OP posts:

LOL

that looks like someone has hijacked her account.

Unless she is normally like that. I don't reallly know her.

BitOfFun · 26/02/2011 17:41

This thread is going to make them feel a bit shit though, isn't it?

And I think that it is very poor form to reproduce a private message which is essentially harmless.

Why not take it up with the person involved? Or block them from PMing you if you are bothered.

Lulumaam · 26/02/2011 17:42

wahjt Bof said

what is this thread for exactly? to embarass someone else and /or big yourself up?

BluePyjamas · 26/02/2011 17:43

The clue is in the name Private Message.

Poor form. Report it if you don't like it.

carminaburana · 26/02/2011 17:46

Agree with last two posters - how insensitive and rude of you to do this.
She's sent you a private harmless compliment, you should be grateful.

Pancakeflipper · 26/02/2011 17:47

Dear Rocks
If you ever feel like sending compliments to a non-revealer.
PM me. I am not worthy of them but I'll not tell.

piratecat · 26/02/2011 17:50

she/he wont think you are quite so special now.

what a shame.

QuincyMincemeat · 26/02/2011 17:52

that's not weird. it's quite nice. and you're a big meany.

Tortington · 26/02/2011 17:54

yep you[ve fucked up with this thread

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 18:00

I think you're missing the point, which is that it reads very much like hijacked emails or spam.

I'm sorry...I can see that under normal circumstances it would be a really nice message but I don't blame QOFE for being suspicious that it is NOT in fact Rockloves.

It's a very very strange syntax.
'On this mumsnet forum'?? Really?

carminaburana · 26/02/2011 18:00

Queenoffuckingeverything;

Might be a good idea to get this thread deleted before Rockloves sees it,
Just admit the compliment went to your head and you've cocked up.

End of,

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 18:01

I would suggest you report it to MNHQ, OP.

Only they can tell you what's going on.

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 18:04

Besides which Rockloves hasn't posted in at least a month. If ever...I thought it was a regular name but not so sure now.

It's possible she has left and her account has been somehow compromised, I guess.

BitOfFun · 26/02/2011 18:05

There is a rocklover who has posted today.

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 18:06

Okay search the username, and you'll see nothing comes up.

I'd reckon it's someone who has joined to PM people/one person/whatever.

Rocklover otoh has over 500 messages to her name.

Pancakeflipper · 26/02/2011 18:06

Oh - gremlins in the site?
Queen - best report it eh or turn into Ghostbusters?

Hullygully · 26/02/2011 18:07

I think it sounds odd as well

QueenOfFuckingEverything · 26/02/2011 19:24

Oh FFS no I am not trying to big myself up or embarrass anyone - its blatantly either a troll or a spammer and I was genuinely interested in knowing if they were spamming anyone else.

I am looking at it in the same light as the gazillion emails I get from Olga/Irina who have seen my profile and think I look a nice caring man who would like to send them $200000000 have a meaningful relationship with them alone.

Of course I checked their posting history and had they ever actually posted anything I wouldn't have dreamed of naming them. Fair enough if everyone thinks it was misjudged/tactless/rude as fuck though and I will ask for it to be deleted.

OP posts:
IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 19:26

Okay well perhaps I shouldn't have bothered to stick up for you...but for what it's worth, some of us did.

thefirstMrsDeVere · 26/02/2011 19:31

I read it quickly and though 'bit mean of OP' but when I read it again it does read like a spam trying to get her to contact some odd site. Like those texts that invite you to look at special 'pictures' .

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 19:37

Well that's the thing about spam. It's designed to make you think it's genuine.

I couldn't believe it when I came back to the thread and saw so many people having a bash at the OP.

But I think it probably came across as being about a regular and it clearly isn't.

carminaburana · 26/02/2011 19:37

Rockloves isn't a real MN poster?

Ok - I'm very sorry Queenoffuckingeverything, I assumed she was a genuine person just sending you a quick compliment ( I'm sure it happens - even on here)

Apologies.

IngridBergmann · 26/02/2011 19:40

Carmina, you are very nice to apologise...

the thing is no one who regularly posts here would write in that style. Would I send a message like that? No. And I've sent and received complimentary PMs on here. They were not like this.

It sounds like a non English speaker or someone with a low mental age. Either of which it could, conceivably, be, if it isn't just pure and simple spamming.

carminaburana · 26/02/2011 19:56

Yes - having re-read the message I can see that now.

Sadly, having never received a private compliment I was replying in naivety.

Complimentless and clueless

Pancakeflipper · 26/02/2011 20:17

I was just jealous, bitter and twisted cos my PM box is a big empty gap. Sorry Queen.
