Facebook Nurse-in pictures and links being removed!

Is it possible this can be a sticky MNHQ?

There was an 'event' on facebook called the facebook 'nurse-in' yesterday. It's still kinda running.

Basically it called on ladies who are breastfeeding or who have in the past to post a picture of them nursing as their profile picture.

The purpose was to show that Breastfeeding is beautiful and normal and not sexual or offensive.

Facebook responded to this by deleting a lot of the pictures and the links to the event itself. I don't knownof they eventually intend to delete all these profile pics but haven't deleted mine yet.

It seems they deem these photos as offensive or obscene in some way.

I am absolutely outraged by this, they wouldn't delete a picture of a baby beig bottle fed would they?! (this is not an anti formula thread by the way, I don't care how anyone feeds their baby). I'm just annoyed that they are acting as if Breastfeeding should be hidden away and not seen. It's totally wrong!

I think we should have a campaign about it, it seems to be their 'policy' to remove such pictures and I think it should be changed. The more images of breastfeeding society see, the more it will be accepted and normalised te way it used to be and the way it is in many cultures around the world.
