My bookmarks have gone

I don't seem to have a bookmark button today - is it just me ? Have just had a namechange so is it anything to do with that? As far as I can tell I have the right settings on "customise".

Mine have also disappeared (IE8, I think).

Mine have also gone. I want them back!

Basic question - how do I know which version of IE I have ? Still no bookmarks

I have taken time out from my busy Apprentice watching schedule come over here to say truly I don't actually know why the bookmarks aren't working. I have asked the techies but we are a man down atm so am not getting much feedback.
