Alternate refreshes gives me the same list. The times change bu the conversations don't!

Hi Nyphadora - this still happening to you?
HelenMumsnet · 07/08/2010 19:39
Hmm, sorry to hear that, nymphadora. But stumped as to what to suggest
Might be worth posting in Site tech stuff - not sure if any of the Techs will be about this weekend but def worth a try...
Tech · 29/08/2010 19:30
Hi Nymphadora, Is this still happening for you? Thanks.
Tech · 30/08/2010 17:22
Just to be absolutely clear - this only happens on your iphone, correct? Do you mind telling me which network it's on?
Thanks.
Tech · 30/08/2010 18:08
That is odd. Try clearing the Safari cache. Click the phone's main button to get the home screen, then tap settings, then Safari. Towards the bottom of the Safari settings screen click "Clear cache." You may have tried this already I guess, as you say you've tried clearing history.
Just fyi, caches save pages so that next time you request the page the cache can supply it and save you the time it would take to ask for the page again and have it delivered to you over the Internet.
But, when you request the Active Conversations page, our system sends back the page with headers saying, in effect, the information on this page expires immediately and is private. This means your phone shouldn't save the page (for long), and nor should your ISP / network cache - they should ask for a new page every time. In your case this doesn't seem to be working correctly - you are seeing pages that are a few days old. The most likely suspect for the fault is the cache in the phone itself, as you appear to be the only person seeing this behaviour.
Let me know whether or not clearing the cache helps. Thanks.

Hi there, We'll try a tweak on our side tonight, and see if that helps. Perhaps you could alert me if it happens again from tomorrow onwards?
Tech · 01/09/2010 20:41
Hi nymphadora, If my caching theory is right, it might carry on happening for a couple of days while the cache forgets the page.
HOWEVER, if you ever get a stale set of Active convos, where the bad set have dates after 31-Aug-10 at about 8am, could you let us know as that means our fix didn't work.
Are you around today, and if so, have you seen any stale active convos? Anyone else?
OliviaMumsnet · 06/09/2010 11:14
I'll let Tech know, thanks nymphadora
