People keep telling me to get it for my 15mo DS who has teething pains from hell

Is it really worth 13 quid?!

she's just a rubber giraffe
tis a French tradition for some reason

get gel- or water-filled teethers that go in the fridge instead, or just a cold wet flannel

Yes, as MrsB says, Sophie is a French tradition. You aren't properly French unless you squeezed and chewed a Sophie la Girafe in babyhood.

If you are not at all French, don't bother!
