Is anyone going to IKEA in the near future?

I want to get hold of some cheap/thin flannels to make into reusable baby wipes, and assume that IKEA would be a good place to find them (can't see them online though).

Does anyone know if they sell such a thing? And if so would anyone be willing to pick up and post me half a dozen (for which I will reimburse, obviously!)

Or has anyone got any other good suggestions for reusable baby wipes? I know the nappy lady sells them but p&p costs are a bit ott for a bit of towelling IMO.

Baby not due for another three weeks yet, so no desperate hurry....

essbee, that would be great! I'm assuming they are dirt cheap from there, can't really afford a lot

Can you get me half a dozen, unless they are 5 for a pound or similar, in which case can you get a dozen (ish) - I'll leave it to your sense of discretion!

I will CAT you my details

I got a stack of what you are talking about from the pound shop, for, er, one pound. This was last December though and their stock seems to constantly vary.

Wow Miaou... THAT certainly IS dedication to the green cause!!!

misdee · 09/07/2005 16:21

thin kthey are £3 for 10.

Miaou · 09/07/2005 16:22

Until recently I lived on an island with NO rubbish collection (ie EVER) - so old habits die hard! Hate throwing things away!

Sooooo....anyone going to ASDA in the near future?

sparklymieow · 09/07/2005 16:22

Have you move from the island then??

serah · 09/07/2005 16:22

Now I've just read the whole thread I've just popped upstairs and had a rifle thru my drawers... I've got 6 you can have if you CAT me your address.

Miaou · 09/07/2005 16:30

I have mieow - now live about 50 miles down the road, but still in (very) rural Highlands (I can just about see Ben Nevis from my house!) - hence the continuing lack of shops etc!

Miaou · 09/07/2005 16:31

Serah - are you sure? Wow, thanks - will CAT you!

And thanks for the offer essbee

I see, was it the Isle of Muck, or something. I thought it was very hard to get on that island.

serah · 09/07/2005 16:34

No probs! Always like to help if I can! I'll send them out on Monday if you can get address to me

Miaou · 09/07/2005 16:37

Have CATed you serah - thank you!

That's right Mieow it was - bensmum3 lives there. It was/is difficult to access - 2 hour trip on a boat, then 60 mile trip down the road to the nearest town - we loved it there but it was time to move on and give the kids the opportunity of doing more things. They have gone back there for the w/e with my mum - I'm quite envious actually!

I'm sorry for the slight hijack here . but don't be envious, this weekend is exhausting,I still haven't unpacked yet, got off the boat on Thursday and straight into preparing, but it is going really well, your girls (and Mum) seem to be having a lovely time.
So glad to see other MN's are able to help, after I let you down and didn't make it to Ikea.
